The Philadelphia Phillies
Finance Intern
Formed in 1883, the Philadelphia Phillies are the oldest Major League Baseball team in the United States.  Work in the Business Office and assist the Controller with daily accounting operations; gain familiarity preparing journal entries, balance sheets, and using Excel spreadsheets to analyze accounting data. 

Radisson Plaza - Warwick Hotel
Sales & Marketing Intern
Gain a good understanding of hotel management and special events. Solicit group event rentals (holiday parties, corporate events), make sales calls, pitch event ideas, and update the hotel event board; assist banquet staff in preparing for special events, coordinate with vendors, and attend events to provide services; attend business meetings.

The Philadelphia Zoo
Education Ambassador/Conservation Intern
Assist at America’s first zoo, in the development and running of educational events, including festivals, main path activities, and special family programming. Develop educational activities, assist in the coordination of external performers/presenters, assist in the coordination of event logistics. Learn how to plan and implement events and activities for guests at the Zoo.

Banyan Productions
Multiple Opportunities (see below)
Banyan Productions creates reality-based programs (e.g., A Makeover Story, Trading Spaces, A Wedding Story, Renovations, A Dating Story, Epicurious, Birth Day, Perfect Proposal, Ambush Makeover, Surviving Motherhood and Design Invasion) for cable networks, including TLC, Discovery Channel, FOX, Lifetime, PBS, Home and Garden Television, Travel Channel, Twentieth Television and the Food Network.  Banyan produces approximately 500 original episodes of television each year.

Television production: assist the Production Staff with booking guests, organize and file legal documents, create transcripts of interviews, execute a variety of office duties, prepare for shoots, log field tapes, and sit in on edits.

Development: work in the department responsible for taking an idea and making it a show; sit in on brainstorming sessions, use writing skills to create one-page treatments for shows; interns must love to write, research and express their creativity.

Graphic design: must be proficient in Adobe Photoshop, QuarkXpress, Acrobat, and Illustrator; assist in-house designer, organize incoming development graphic projects and graphics for shows currently in production, design one sheet artwork, and layout of long form treatments.

COHMAR
Counseling Assistant
Providing a range of responsive programs, COMHAR's behavioral health services treat individuals who need help coping with life stresses and who live with chronic mental illness or addiction. Work as counseling assistants with professional staff.  Learn counseling techniques, psychiatric rehabilitation skills, and work with people in recovery on an individual and group basis.

Children’s Crisis Treatment Center
Therapeutic Nursery Assistant
Providing high quality, comprehensive mental health services to Philadelphia’s children in need and their families, CCTC delivers licensed and professional services that are tailored to meet the needs of each child. Assist in the Therapeutic Nursery, an early childhood partial hospitalization program for children ages 3 through 5 with emotional, behavioral, and multiple learning problems. The Therapeutic Nursery provides the following services:  psychological and psychiatric evaluations; individual treatment planning and multi-disciplinary review; developmentally child-centered therapeutic activities; individual therapies; speech and language Services; medication management; case management; nursing services; and family counseling.

University of Pennsylvania - Weight and Eating Disorders
Research Intern
Founded over 45 years ago to better understand the causes of weight and weight-related disorders, this group conducts a wide variety of studies on the causes and treatment of weight-related disorders and offers professional services to the general public rather than only to participants in research studies. Research Intern will recruit participants, collect and maintain data, observe clinical treatment and clinical psychologists, and more.
